The National Treatment Purchase Fund has launched its annual report for 2009.

  • 28,758 patients were facilitated by the NTPF in 2009

  • 170,000 patients have been facilitated by the fund since 2002

  • Patient Satisfaction levels with the treatment provided remain high

  • aims to reduce waiting time for patients on public hospital waiting lists as quickly as possible;
  • will arrange and purchase treatment for public patients;
  • will arrange treatment with the permission of each patient only;
  • will arrange treatment in a confidential manner;
  • is committed to ensuring that each patient is satisfied with the quality of care and communication they experience under this initiative.
