  • Established in April 2002, the NTPF is one of the initiatives outlined in the Health Strategy to reduce long term waiting lists;

  • Public patients who are waiting longest for an operation or procedure on a public hospital in-patient or day case waiting list can contact the NTPF Lo-Call line at 1890 720 820 to see if they are eligible for this scheme.

  • The NTPF sources treatment for qualifying patients in hospitals in Ireland.

  • Patients who opt for treatment with the NTPF will receive their treatment free of charge.
