Jennifer Carey joined the board of the NTPF in December 2024 and is a member of the Patient Care Committee. 

Jennifer Carey is an accomplished healthcare executive and qualified nurse who currently holds the position of General Manager of St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network. Combining a strong clinical foundation with extensive senior leadership experience, she brings deep expertise in healthcare management, governance, strategic planning, service integration, and organisational transformation.


Beginning her career in nursing, Jennifer developed a strong commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice. Her nursing background continues to inform her leadership approach, providing valuable insight into the patient journey, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services.


As General Manager, Jennifer provides leadership across a complex network of radiation oncology services, supporting the delivery of compassionate, patient-focused care while ensuring strong operational performance, workforce capability, financial stewardship, and robust governance. She works closely with clinical and executive leaders to drive service improvement, strengthen partnerships, and deliver strategic priorities across the network.


Throughout her career, Jennifer has led a broad range of initiatives focused on quality and safety, system integration, workforce wellbeing, leadership development, and the implementation of sustainable models of care. She has successfully guided organisational change and fostered collaborative cultures that support innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in patient outcomes.


Her professional interests include clinical and corporate governance, healthcare innovation, workforce development, integrated care, and the advancement of collaborative healthcare models. Jennifer is committed to building high-performing teams, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the ongoing evolution of healthcare services to meet the needs of patients and communities.
