The NTPF arranges treatments for patients, provides independently assured waiting list information, develops systems and processes which contribute to health system reform, negotiates prices for nursing home care, and provides expert advice to the Minister for Health.
The NTPF supports hospitals in the management of patients awaiting access to care. This includes: Waiting List Data Reporting, Administrative Validation, Commissioning, Audit and Quality Assurance, and Waiting List Management.
National Public Hospital waiting lists for Outpatients, Inpatients, DayCase and Planned Procedures. Data is available in interactive visual format or in downloadable files. Reports are published monthly.
The NTPF is an independent public body, undertaking diverse roles within the Irish Health Care System. These include Contract Management with Nursing Homes, Commissioning of consultations and treatments for patients, assisting hospitals in the standardisation of waiting list management by providing protocols and undertaking audits, validation of waiting lists through direct correspondence with patients, and publication of waiting list data on a monthly basis.
