About the NTPF

The NTPF is an independent public body, undertaking diverse roles within the Irish Health Care System. These include Contract Management with Nursing Homes, Commissioning of consultations and treatments for patients, assisting hospitals in the standardisation of waiting list management by providing protocols and undertaking audits, validation of waiting lists through direct correspondence with patients, and publication of waiting list data on a monthly basis.

Bernadette Weir
Commissioning Director

Bernadette has worked across various divisions within the NTPF including finance and payroll. She has been at the forefront of the Commissioning function since its reinstatement in 2017, and has facilitated over 500,000 patients to access healthcare since. Bernadette has a BA from University of Limerick and an MA from Dublin City University.
