About the NTPF

The NTPF is an independent public body, undertaking diverse roles within the Irish Health Care System. These include Contract Management with Nursing Homes, Commissioning of consultations and treatments for patients, assisting hospitals in the standardisation of waiting list management by providing protocols and undertaking audits, validation of waiting lists through direct correspondence with patients, and publication of waiting list data on a monthly basis.

NTPF Statement

The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) has published the Insourcing Assurance Review.

Speaking about the publication, NTPF CEO Ms. Fiona Brady said “As Chief Executive Officer of the National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF), I commissioned an Assurance Review in June 2025 in response to recent media attention regarding the issue of national insourcing. The review was carried out to ensure full transparency in how public funds are being spent, and to ensure that the three key principles of our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) were being fully adhered to in practice.

That review has now concluded, and I am pleased to confirm that the final report is available to the public on our website today”
