National Treatment Purchase Fund launches new website
The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) has today launched a new website. It provides user-friendly information for patients, healthcare providers and nursing home providers.
The website includes access to the most up-to-date monthly public hospital waiting list figures, through its interactive enhanced reporting tool. This information is used to provide safe, timely access to care for patients, in the right place at the right time in line with Sláintecare principles.
The NTPF is an independent public body which undertakes a number of important roles within the health service. In delivering its remit, the NTPF arranges treatments for patients, collects and publishes independently assured waiting list information, develops systems and processes which contribute to health system reform, negotiates prices for nursing home care, and provides expert advice to the Minister for Health.
Commenting, NTPF Chief Executive Officer Fiona Brady said:
“The new website is designed to provide patients, healthcare providers and people who use our services with real-time insights into waiting lists. It aims to enhance transparency, improve access, and empower users to make informed decisions about their healthcare journey.
Our goal is to continuously improve this website based on user feedback and data insights, ultimately contributing to a more efficient healthcare system”.
